After the great success of Kammerorchester Basel's New Year’s Eve Nachtklang (Night Sound) concert “Le Roi danse” in 2021, there will be a sequel this year.
The French king is not asked to dance, but a variety of dance music is played, such as the Frottole, Pavane, or Galliarde from the early 17th century by Dario Castello, Giovanni Battista Fontana, Biagio Marini, Giovanni Antonio Pandolfi Mealli, and many others. Dancer Julian Nicosia will bring the dances to life. The concert will start at 21:00, so you can be home in time for the fireworks at midnight.
Tickets are CHF 55 for adults and CHF 35 for students.
