Norwegian Lights — Hildegunn Øiseth Quartett / Tord Gustavsen Trio

Hildegunn Øiseth is one of the most important personalities in Norwegian jazz. She has been touring with her own quartet for some time and is presenting her current album "Time is Coming." The members of her quartet are all proven experts and convey the Nordic-melancholic attitude to life in a captivating way. Øiseth released her debut album "Hildring" in 2009, where she focused on the traditional bukkehorn made from goat horns. She was already a guest at the Jazz Days in 2021, and in 2023 and 2024, she thrilled audiences in Sarah Chaksad's Large Ensemble. She is releasing a new CD this March.
Since Tord Gustavsen made his debut with his first trio and the album "Changing Places" 20 years ago, drummer Jarle Vespestad has followed the pianist like a shadow. After three albums with the original trio, which also included bassist Harald Johnsen, Gustavsen presented himself on four more albums with constantly changing ensembles of different sizes before returning to the trio format on "The Other Side" in 2018. The only constant besides Gustavsen on all these albums was Vespestad, who is also present again on "Opening," Gustavsen's ninth ECM album. This time the trio is completed by the new bassist Steinar Raknes.
Tickets are CHF 33.10-89.90.
