After the enchanting summer night mood and two sold-out concerts at the first edition in August 2022, the new classic open-air project will be entering the next round. On three evenings, they will present popular classical concerts with top-class artistic content on the idyllic Rhein Inseli, which can be reached from the Rheinbrücke between the two Rheinfelden.
On this evening, there will be three mini concerts back-to-back:
Set 1 (19:00-19:30): UkrCello, an ensemble of young Ukranian cellists, will play music from the Ukraine and works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Gabriel Fauré, Wilhelm Fitzenhagen, and Reinhold Moritzewitsch Glière.
Set 2 (19:45-20:30): The prizewinner in oboe from the “Muri Competition” in April 2023, along with the Philharmonic Orchestra Basel, will play works by Antonio Pasculli and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Set 3 (20:45-21:30): AEW Concert Brass Fricktal will play rich brass sound from all over the world—"Ad Astra" by Jacob Vilhelm Larsen, "The spirit within" by Ben Hollings, "Euphony" by Robert Redhead, "Sicilian Vespers" by Giuseppe Verdi, and many more. Note that the concerts will be moved to the Bahnhofsaal in the event of bad weather.
Tickets are CHF 25 for adults and half price for students.
