The Kammerorchester Basel (Chamber Orchestra) occasionally opens its rehearsals to the audience and lets you watch the musical work with top-class soloists. You will be the first to exclusively hear excerpts from future CDs and programs for concert tours. After the 45-minute rehearsal, the audience will have the opportunity to talk to musicians, soloists, and employees of the office over soup and bread rolls.
On this day, you can listen to the orchestra's rehearsals with its Principal Guest Conductor Giovanni Antonini and the successful violinist Isabelle Faust. The familiar and well-practiced ensemble rehearses Beethoven's Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in D major, which will subsequently be presented in concerts in Basel (Stadtcasino), Heerlen, and Dijon.
