Children are playing the organ! For this concert, which is part of this year’s Organ Festival, Basel school children will play and dance this classic piece by Camille Saint-Saëns with lots of imagination. One hundred children will explore Saint-Saëns’ masterpiece in a participatory manner. They will then creatively translate their experiences and feelings, guided by dancers and choreographers Andrea Tortosa Vidal and Francesca Genovese and under the direction of Andrea Pfaehler.
Musically, the animals from fish to lion will be represented by the youth orchestra "first symphony" and by organ students ages 9-15 years, in an arrangement by Mattias Kuhn. It’s great classical music, not just for little ears!
Tickets are CHF 20; CHF 10 for students up to age 30 and holders of the Kulturlegi.
