"Sonicwonderland" is the new album from the internationally acclaimed and Grammy-winning Hiromi. It represents a new musical adventure for the ever-changing pianist and composer, who is a star in her native Japan and burst onto the music scene 20 years ago with her debut album. Hiromi shines on the keyboard with a balanced playing that is powerful, aggressive, and sensitive at the same time.
Hiromi's Sonicwonder is a quartet with the up-and-coming young talents Hadrien Feraud (bass), Gene Coye (drums), and Adam O'Farrill (trumpet). "Sonicwonderland" is Hiromi’s 12th studio album; she is a prolific artist who has explored a number of different musical spheres throughout her career. Among other things, she recorded the soundtrack to “Blue Giant,” a feature film based on the manga series of the same name.
