The Philharmonie der Solisten orchestra was founded in Hamburg in the autumn of 2018. The orchestra's name stands out among the numerous chamber orchestras: all the musicians are professionally trained musicians with international concert experience, who all perform as soloists within the core ensemble of a chamber orchestra. On the other hand, the word "philharmonic" embodies the core idea: quite simply, the love of harmony! The orchestra initially consisted of a chamber orchestra but expands to a symphony orchestra when the composition requires it. The Philharmonie der Solisten performs works from the Baroque to the modern era—the very best from all periods.
On this evening, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Soloists will be playing Antonio Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons,” op. 8, as well as works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Johannes Brahms.
