The Basel Philharmonic Orchestra is a demanding amateur orchestra that performs works from various epochs up to contemporary music, as well as commissioned works. In their concerts (every spring and autumn), they let the harmonies of the most diverse composers ring out, thereby conquering the hearts of the listeners and bringing moments of happiness and joy.
On this Sunday, they will be playing Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Egmont” overture, op. 84; Edwar Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor, op. 16; and Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, op. 95, “From the New World.” Soloist is pianist Mathis Bereuter.
Tickets are CHF 25-45 for adults, CHF 10 for students, and free for kids under age 16.
