The Romanian pianists Eduard Gheorghiță and Remus Henning are touring Switzerland for the second year in a row and want to delight the audience with piano music played four-handed. The two soloists have been playing together for two years and giving national and international piano concerts.
The concert program in the Hans Huber-Saal begins with Bach and ends with Mendelssohn. It is a journey through classical music styles, from the Baroque with its polyphony and ornamentation to the Romantic period with its heroic and sentimental style. The middle part of the program, Viennese Classicism as represented by Mozart, takes you on a journey back in time to the musical waltzes and merrymaking evenings of the 1770s.
