The Sinfonieorchester Basel will be performing its second picnic concert of the 2022-2023 season with a program entitled “Nacht” (Night). A firework of baroque music awaits the audience in this concert with members of the orchestra. Two “Brandenburg Concertos” by Johann Sebastian Bach meet two masterpieces by Antonio Vivaldi, including the flute concerto “La Notte,” creating a musical bridge to the current exhibition at the Museum der Kulturen.
The concert will be held outdoors on the stairs of the courtyard in front of the Museum der Kulturen Basel. Simply show up with a blanket or chair and bring your own picnic basket; music and the right ambience will be provided. The concert will only be held in dry weather.
Entrance is free and no tickets are required.
