The Sinfonieorchester Basel and Gare du Nord invite you to musical promenades on Sunday mornings. This season, the internationally acclaimed Belcea Quartet, which can be heard in the world's most important concert halls, is once again a guest with two programs. Before and after the concert, there is the opportunity to enjoy Sunday breakfast in the generous ambience of the Bar du Nord.
On this Sunday morning, the audience will be treated to Béla Bartók’s String Quartet No. 1 in A minor and Antonín Dvořák’s String Quartet No. 10 in E flat major, "Slavic Quartet," op. 51. Both works impressively represent the beauty of romanticism and the avant-garde sounds of the 20th century, captivating listeners with their emotional depth and tonal innovation.
There is free childcare available during the concert; register at least one week in advance at vbakalakos@garedunord.ch.
Adult tickets are CHF 15-35 (your choice) and CHF 10 for members of Colourkey and children under 12 years of age.
