Puppet Theater — Notre Dame. A True Story

While a young gypsy sells souvenirs in front of the gates of the venerable Notre-Dame Cathedral, a priest lives in his own mystical world, secluded behind the thick church walls. Due to a solar eclipse that lasts only a few seconds, both of them fall into a shared dream purely by chance—in a time 500 years ago and in a story of love and death.
The famous novel "Notre-Dame de Paris" by Victor Hugo is rich in characters and plots, including a vain captain who loves only himself, a priest who refuses love, a creature that no one can love, and a beautiful woman who seems to have been created only for love. The protagonists of the story all go astray because there seems to be no other way for them. "... this suitably widely celebrated piece is truly a lesson in the incomparably magical power of puppetry."
This play will be performed with table figures in high German and is appropriate for persons ages 16 and over.
Tickets are CHF 40 for adults and CHF 30 for kids and students.
