How much power does woman have over her own narrative and our view in a world more and more dominated by the media? The iconic BBC interview of Martin Bashir with Diana, Princess of Wales, is the starting point to investigate the complex relationship between the power of the media and self-determination, between public and privacy, between politics and emotion from a contemporary, feministic perspective. Diana has long since been replaced by self-proclaimed Instagram princesses, and the paparazzi by internet trolls and shitstorms. Nevertheless, the myth of Diana remains an example for the symbolic revenge against women who dare to raise their voice in public.
In a multimedia sound space for voice and electronics, the exceptional soprano Sarah Maria Sun is at the center of the evening and uses her voice to create a cosmos that explores the unspokenand the contemporary context of the interview.
Tickets are CHF 15-35 for adults and CHF 10 for holders of the Colourkey.
