After the first inspiring collaboration in 2021, the Zürcher Kammerorchester continues its collaboration with jazz trumpeter Till Brönner and the Dieter Ilg Trio and once again explores the impressionistic sound worlds of jazz and classical music. When the two genres of classical and jazz come together, jazz double bassist Dieter Ilg is right there. With electrifying vitality, technical brilliance, and dedication, he has already interpreted classical composers such as Verdi, Wagner, and Beethoven and transferred them into jazz. This has made him one of the most influential voices in European jazz for years. In addition to original works by Maurice Ravel and Claude Debussy, compositions and arrangements by the French composer Jean Gobinet, who has collaborated with Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, and Michel Legrand, will also be heard for the first time.
