The cultural promotion department of the canton Baselland wants to promote and support artistic collaboration, encounters between different artists, and creative exchange through a two-week "Reconnect" residency grant. The third edition of Reconnect starts at the end of June with a two-week residency grant and a public final event at the Castelen estate. The 2023 scholarships were awarded to four duos—Anna Maria Balint and Aline Stalder (visual arts), Kihako Narisawa and Joseph W. Alford (dance and theater), Martin Reck and Olivia Zaugg (music), and Anna Thommen and Joël Jent (film). From June 30 to July 16, these artists will work and live together and on this evening, the public is invited to get an insight into the resulting artistic work and the collaborations. The audience can look forward to a varied evening with exciting encounters in the garden and in Villa Castelen by Augusta Raurica. As a media partner, Radio X will report on the artists and their collaborations.
Tickets are CHF 20 for adults and CHF 10 for youths and students; tickets also entitle the holders to a return journey in the TNW area to August/Kaiseraugst.
