Pianist Julia Hamos combines her American and Hungarian roots with an adventurous spirit to explore the essence of repertoire ranging from Bach to composers living today. Instinctive artistic expression, a forward-thinking attitude, a joyful physical flexibility at the instrument, and an unyielding fascination with the music she plays make her an artist to watch.
As a part of the Rising Star concert evenings at the Hans Huber-Saal of the Stadtcasino Basel, Hamos will be playing Franz Schubert’s Hungarian Melody B minor D 817, Béla Bartók’s 15 Hungarian Peasant Songs Sz. 71, Leoš Janáček’s “Im Nebel,” and Maurice Ravel’s “Gaspard de la nuit.”
Tickets are CHF 35 for adults and CHF 20 students.
