The Schweizer Jugend-Sinfonie-Orchester is a Swiss symphony orchestra of young people, founded in 1969. The orchestra members, around 100 young musicians between ages 15 and 25 from all regions of Switzerland, meet twice a year for a session of several days of rehearsals for a tour, once in spring and once in the fall.
For this Mother’s Day concert, they will be playing Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Overture to the opera “Don Giovanni” K. 527; Gioacchino Rossini’s “Concerto da esperimento” for bassoon and orchestra; and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s Symphony No. 3 in A minor, op. 56 "Scottish."
Tickets are CHF 20-78.
