Shades Of Purple & Piledriver

Come to the Atlantis Basel for a night of tribute to Deep Purple and Status Quo!
As the first real Swiss Deep Purple tribute band, Shades of Purple have been conquering concert stages at home and abroad since 2008. No matter on which stage the "Shades" celebrate their tribute set, the guys leave an enthusiastic audience. This is also because, in addition to the well-known hits, they also have many original songs in their repertoire that are not known to every concert-goer. Just like the original, the line-up of the driving five-piece from Baselland is made up of passionate musicians who musically follow the great role model in a very authentic way. Probably also because the band "obviously" attaches great importance to playing—or perhaps working—on original instruments and amplifiers from the glorious times of the 60s and 70s. Shades of Purple gives you the opportunity to experience an energetic concert, with blockbusters like "Smoke on the Water," "Black Night," "Child in Time," "Woman From Tokyo," and even breakers like "Burn," "A Gypsy's Kiss," "Speed King," and "Highway Star," just to name a few. In addition, some unknown B-side pieces from the Deep Purple universe of 1967 to 1984 regularly find their way into the setlist of Shades of Purple.
At the end of 2010, four experienced musicians and passionate Staus Quo fans in northwestern Switzerland joined forces to form the band Piledriver, to pay tribute to the British rock n' rollers. Beat Schaub (bass), Freddy Steady (drums), Martin Eyer (guitar), and André Wunderlin (guitar and vocals), provide the original realization of the Status Quo songs. Unlike their idols, Piledriver do not play in the Hallenstadion, but the mood of the fans at their concerts is no less enthusiastic.
Tickets are CHF 28 in advance and CHF 33 at the door.
