"Simply the Best—The Tina Turner Story" takes audiences on a journey through five decades of music history and the greatest hits of one of the most important artists of our time. Anna Mae Bullock, born November 26, 1939, in Brownsville, Tennessee (USA), raised in Nutbush, became a world star and legend as Tina Turner. From 1958 she performed alongside her future husband Ike Turner. In 1984, she launched an outstanding comeback as a solo artist, comparable only to that of Elvis. In 2009, the singer with the unmistakable timbre went on her last world tour—the grand finale of an extraordinary career.
Hardly any other show has caused more of a stir in recent years than "Simply the Best—The Tina Turner Story." Lead actress Dorothea "Coco" Fletcher is considered one of the world's best lookalikes and looks amazingly like the original. Most recently, she gained international prominence and recognition in the wake of the legal dispute between Tina Turner and the makers of the tribute show. After more than 250 acclaimed performances and over 250,000 enthusiastic visitors, the celebrated show will once again go on a major tour through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland this spring, with one stop in Basel.
Tickets are CHF 80.40-120.50.
