"Writing this music was like therapy," singer-songwriter Nola Kin says about her new EP “Mayhem.” "The first song that came out immediately became the title track. I was tired of holding myself back with my fears and insecurities; of pursuing goals but not being able to achieve them. Struggling with the inner chaos, I spent two weeks in the mountains putting my first batch of thoughts on paper. “Mayhem” was born and I knew immediately that this song had to be the heart and name of the EP. It embodies embracing the chaos in your own head, the fears and patterns, and learning to live with it all or simply: letting go." The five songs of “Mayhem” make you feel like you are being swept away by something stormy and powerful. Kin's rough, powerful voice and her unique guitar playing an overwhelming, immersive experience a. Her band performs in perfect balance, free and wild. It is inspired by Blake Mills, Bon Iver ,and Dijon: music to the core, lush and with attitude, a mix of indie folk, soul, country and Americana. The sound of a full-blooded musician who is finally letting go.
From the renowned Montreux Jazz Festival to venues in Copenhagen, Kin’s performances have captivated audiences. She is currently nominated for the Artist Award at the Swiss Music Awards, an award given exclusively by musicians.
Tickets are CHF 25 in advance and CHF 30 at the door.
