Austrian classical pianist Rudolf Buchbinder was featured in “Pianomania,” a documentary film about a Steiner & Sons piano tuner that was met with positive reviews in North America, as well as in Asia and throughout Europe. He has also taught piano at the Musik-Akademie Basel. Rudolf Buchbinder will be in Basel for one evening, playing works by Johann Sebastian Bach (English Suite in G minor BWV 808), Ludwig van Beethoven (Piano Sonata No. 23 in F minor, op. 57, “Appassionata,”) and Franz Schubert (Piano Sonata in B flat major D 960).
