Making music with friends in the unique atmosphere of sacral-baroque venues on the Rhein is the theme of this 19th edition of the Solsberg Festival, which aims to make the deep and beautiful aspects of music discoverable and accessible. The musicians who contribute to the Solsberg Festival have all won major international prizes and can undoubtedly be numbered among the new generation of leading international soloists.
On this evening, a chamber orchestra consisting of two violinists, two violists, a cellist, and a double bass player will be performing Johannes Brahms’ String Quintet No. 2 G major, op. 111 and Arnold Schönberg’s “Transfigured Night” for String Sextet, op. 4. It’s music in a state of suspension between the terrestial and the supernatural. These heavyweights of chamber music literature conclude the festival with a finely selected ensemble under the direction of the festival director.
Tickets are CHF 49-89 for adults, half price for students, and CHF 15 for children up to age 16. With the “Festival Pass,” you get a 20% discount compared to individual tickets.
