Making music with friends in the unique atmosphere of sacral-baroque venues on the Rhein is the theme of this 19th edition of the Solsberg Festival, which aims to make the deep and beautiful aspects of music discoverable and accessible. The musicians who contribute to the Solsberg Festival have all won major international prizes and can undoubtedly be numbered among the new generation of leading international soloists.
For this chamber music concert, cellist and festival organizer Sol Gabetta, alongside two of the festival’s young artists—Hana Chang on violin and Alexandra Dovgan on piano—will play a Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy festival! The program includes his Variations Concertantes, op. 17; Violin Sonata in F major; and Piano Trio in C minor, op. 66. From the lightness of the variations to the unmistakable dramatic late romanticism in the trio, the program presents Mendelssohn in all facets of his genius.
Tickets are CHF 29-89 for adults, half price for students, and CHF 15 for children up to age 16. With the “Festival Pass,” you get a 20% discount compared to individual tickets.
