Solsberg Festival — Goethes Atem

Stadtkirche Rheinfelden
Thursday, 29 June
19:30

Making music with friends in the unique atmosphere of sacral-baroque venues on the Rhein is the theme of this 18th edition of the Solsberg Festival, which aims to make the deep and beautiful aspects of music discoverable and accessible. The musicians who contribute to the Solsberg Festival have all won major international prizes and can undoubtedly be numbered among the new generation of leading international soloists.
This concert will highlight three unique musical personalities—Isabelle Faust on violin, Sol Gabetta on cello, and Kirstian Bezuidenhout on pianoforte—with key works of trio literature by Ludwig van Beethoven. The years around the date of composition of the Piano Trio in B flat major, op. 97 “Archduke Trio” from 1811 are considered "Goethe's years" in Beethoven's life. Also on the program is van Beethoven’s Piano Trio in D major, op. 70, No. 1, “Ghost Trio,” as well as other works.
Tickets are CHF 49-89 for adults and half price for students.
