Making music with friends in the unique atmosphere of sacral-baroque venues on the Rhein is the theme of this 18th edition of the Solsberg Festival, which aims to make the deep and beautiful aspects of music discoverable and accessible. The musicians who contribute to the Solsberg Festival have all won major international prizes and can undoubtedly be numbered among the new generation of leading international soloists.
For this concert, the exceptional countertenor Franco Fagioli, with his radiant timbre, presents lyrical and virtuoso arias by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, accompanied by the Kammerorchester Basel. The radiant “Ex-sultate Jubilate” motet and the wild Symphony No. 25, “Sturm und Drang,” in G minor, KV 183, are the highlights of the program. In addition to these and other works by Mozart, the program also features compositions by Joseph Martin Kraus.
Tickets are CHF 49-89 for adults and half price for students.
