Making music with friends in the unique atmosphere of sacral-baroque venues on the Rhein is the theme of this 18th edition of the Solsberg Festival, which aims to make the deep and beautiful aspects of music discoverable and accessible. The musicians who contribute to the Solsberg Festival have all won major international prizes and can undoubtedly be numbered among the new generation of leading international soloists.
VOCES8—one of the leading English vocal ensembles—convinces with their straight, vibratoless voices and a beguiling a cappella sound in perfection. On this evening, VOCES8 will sing Orlando Gibbons’s "O Clap Your Hands;" Giovanni Pier Luigi da Palestrina’s "Ave Maria;" William Byrd’s "O Lord, make thy servant Elizabeth our Queen;" Roxanna Panufnik’s “Love Endureth;” as well as other a cappella works by Sergei Rachmaninov, Igor Stravinsky, Benjamin Britten, Thomas Tallis, Maurice Duruflé, and others.
Tickets are CHF 29-89 for adults and half price for students.
