Making music with friends in the unique atmosphere of sacral-baroque venues on the Rhein is the theme of this 18th edition of the Solsberg Festival, which aims to make the deep and beautiful aspects of music discoverable and accessible. The musicians who contribute to the Solsberg Festival have all won major international prizes and can undoubtedly be numbered among the new generation of leading international soloists.
Russian classical pianist Yulianna Avdeeva is an exceptional pianist who has matured into a great artistic personality after winning what is probably the most important piano competition in the music world. On this evening, she will be playing Sergei Rachmaninov’s Piano Sonata No. 2 in B flat minor, op. 36, as well as several works by Frédéric Chopin, including Polonaise-Fantaisie, op. 6; Barcarolle in F sharp major, op. 60; Prélude in C sharp minor, op. 45; Scherzo No. 3 in C sharp minor, op. 39; and Andante spianato et Grande polonaise brillante, op. 22.
Tickets are CHF 29-89 for adults and half price for students.
