Making music with friends in the unique atmosphere of sacral-baroque venues on the Rhein is the theme of this 19th edition of the Solsberg Festival, which aims to make the deep and beautiful aspects of music discoverable and accessible. The musicians who contribute to the Solsberg Festival have all won major international prizes and can undoubtedly be numbered among the new generation of leading international soloists.
For this solo recital, pianist Marie-Ange Nguci will be playing Alexander Skrjabin’s Piano Sonata No. 5, op. 53; Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Fantasy in G minor, op. 77; Maurice Ravel’s “Gaspard de la Nuit;” Sergei Rachmaninow’s Variations on a Theme by Chopin, op. 22; and Johann Sebastian Bach’s Chaconne from Partita No. 2 in D minor, BWV 1004 (arrangement: Ferruccio Busoni). Nguci’s incredibly soft touch, her poetic timbre, her thrilling expressiveness, and her internalized playing are captivating—this pianist has to be experienced to be believed.
Tickets are CHF 19-49 for adults, half price for students, and CHF 15 for children up to age 16. With the “Festival Pass,” you get a 20% discount compared to individual tickets.
