Solsberg Festival — Solsberg Festival Goes Jazz

Hotel Schützen, Rheinfelden
Tuesday, 02 July

Making music with friends in the unique atmosphere of sacral-baroque venues on the Rhein is the theme of this 19th edition of the Solsberg Festival, which aims to make the deep and beautiful aspects of music discoverable and accessible. The musicians who contribute to the Solsberg Festival have all won major international prizes and can undoubtedly be numbered among the new generation of leading international soloists.
For this late-night concert, the Solsberg Festival goes Jazz! Omar Massa (bandoneon) and Jerzy Chwastyk (guitar) will be playing works by Astor Piazzolla, Alberto Ginastera, Joseph de Torres y Vergara, Alessandro Marcello, and Omar Massa.
The bandoneon is the most famous musical export from Argentina, the homeland of the festival's organizer, Sol Gabetta. You can experience it in the harmonious surroundings of the Schützenkeller in a night concert with a bandoneonist from Argentina, who is already celebrated by music critics as the “successor” of Piazzolla and his Nuevo Tango. The number of tickets is limited!
Tickets are CHF 19-49 for adults, half price for students, and CHF 15 for children up to age 16. With the “Festival Pass,” you get a 20% discount compared to individual tickets.
