Making music with friends in the unique atmosphere of sacral-baroque venues on the Rhein is the theme of this 19th edition of the Solsberg Festival, which aims to make the deep and beautiful aspects of music discoverable and accessible. The musicians who contribute to the Solsberg Festival have all won major international prizes and can undoubtedly be numbered among the new generation of leading international soloists.
For this Young Artists chamber concert, Juliette Mey (mezzo-soprano), Violaine Cochard (harpsichord), and Laurine Righyni (viola da gamba) will be performing works by Henry Purcell, Michel Lambert, and Louis-Nicolas Clérambault. The program includes Purcell’s “If music be the food of love” Z 379; “Hark! The echoing air," "The plaint," and "Ye gentle spirits of the air" from "The Fairy Queen", Z 629; and "Fly swift, ye hours", Z 369; as well as the Air de Cour “J'avais cru qu'en vous aimant;” Lambert’s “Rochers, vous êtes sourds” and“Vos mépris chaque jour;” Clérambault’s “Zéphire et Flore,” C. 16; and others. At this concert, you can experience Mey, the phenomenal and spirited laureate of the Queen Elizabeth Competition Brussels 2023, in her Swiss debut.
Tickets are CHF 19-49 for adults, half price for students, and CHF 15 for children up to age 16. With the “Festival Pass,” you get a 20% discount compared to individual tickets.
