Making music with friends in the unique atmosphere of sacral-baroque venues on the Rhein is the theme of this 19th edition of the Solsberg Festival, which aims to make the deep and beautiful aspects of music discoverable and accessible. The musicians who contribute to the Solsberg Festival have all won major international prizes and can undoubtedly be numbered among the new generation of leading international soloists.
For this Young Artists concert, violinist Stephen Waarts and pianist Nathalia Milstein will be playing Sergei Prokofjew’s Five Melodies, op. 35a; Mieczysław Weinberg’s Violin Sonata No. 5, op. 53; Eugène Ysaÿe’s Sonata in G major No. 5 for Violin Solo, op. 27; and Richard Strauss’ Violin Sonata in E flat major, op. 18. Two exceptional young talents, whose performances are astonishing around the world, juxtapose music by long-forgotten geniuses with well-known repertoire works.
Tickets are CHF 19-49 for adults, half price for students, and CHF 15 for children up to age 16. With the “Festival Pass,” you get a 20% discount compared to individual tickets.
