Sound Garden — Kalabrese & Rumpelorchester

During the warm summer months, the rhythms and sounds of the Sound Garden can once again be heard around the pavilion in the park of the Fondation Beyeler. On Wednesday evenings, the music of regional and national artists can be enjoyed over cool cocktails. From jazz to samba and hip-hop to neo-soul and Afrobeat—the Sound Garden's multifaceted music program invites you to let the midweek summer evenings come to a relaxed close in the Museum Park and to discover new favorite music. Enjoy the evening breeze as you lay back in the beautiful setting of the serene park and enjoy great music for free.
On this evening, Kalabrese will kick off this year's Sound Garden music series together with his Rumpelorchester. The Zürich-based musician, producer and DJ has an expressive, warmly pulsating sound that blends funk, house, and indie dance. With analogue synths, live trombone, grooving bass, and his distinctive voice, he creates a sound cosmos that isn't polished, but is full of character and life. Kalabrese loves experimentation—and this is exactly where the magic of his music lies. Celebrate the beginning of another sonorous summer with the Fondation Beyeler on this evening for music and dance lovers.
This event is free and no advanced booking is required. Meeting point is the pavilion in the park.
