The Stimmen (Voices) music festival has become the largest music event on the Upper Rhine, attracting an impressive array of international stars, soloists, and choirs, providing magical moments and musical experiences for young and old. From June 26 to July 20 this year, the festival will play a homage to the power and beauty of the human voice at various special venues in neighboring Germany.
In the early 1980s, BAP, as "pop stars of sheer unfathomable magnitude" (Rolling Stone), shaped the musical tastes of an entire generation in Germany. Hits like "Verdamp lang her," "Kristallnaach," and "Do kanns zaubere" have become irrevocably etched in the ears and hearts of their fans.
Now the legendary band around singer Wolfgang Niedecken is reviving this era. BAP embarks on a musical “Zeitreise” (time travel), performing, among other things, all the songs from their two double-platinum albums "für usszeschnigge" (1981) and "vun drinne noh drusse" (1982) live on stage.
But that's not all: As a rule of thumb, none of the songs performed on the “Zeitreise” tour will be younger than 40 years. For Niedecken, it was paramount to preserve the soul and essence of those very songs that, for so many people, are the soundtrack of their youth—connected to their very personal experiences and feelings.
Tickets are € 69.
