The Stimmen (Voices) music festival has become the largest music event on the Upper Rhine, attracting an impressive array of international stars, soloists, and choirs, providing magical moments and musical experiences for young and old. From June 26 to July 20 this year, the festival will play a homage to the power and beauty of the human voice at various special venues in neighboring Germany.
Coco Dièze's music and joyful playing transport you directly to a Parisian street café. Inspired by French gypsy jazz (French: jazz manouche), the Freiburg quartet captivates with their tremendous joy of playing and a diverse musical range, from gypsy and swing to bossa nova pieces, ballads, and musette waltzes. Singer Mariame Chakly, originally from Morocco, wonderfully captures the French flair with her expressive voice, and musicians Hans Clasen (accordion), Chris Huwer (guitar and violin), and Thias Salhab (bass) ensure that their inspiring playing transforms well-known jazz pieces into their own unique interpretations. Coco Dièze spreads an irresistibly good mood. A perfect summer concert!
This outdoor concert will take place in the hall in the event of bad weather (heavy rain and thunderstorms).
Admission is free but there will be a collection.
