Stimmen Festival — Jess Glynne / Moncrieff

Marktplatz Lörrach
Sunday, 28 July
20:00

The Stimmen (Voices) music festival has become the largest music event on the Upper Rhine, attracting an impressive array of international stars, soloists, and choirs, providing magical moments and musical experiences for young and old. From July 4 to August 4, the festival will pay homage to the power and beauty of the human voice at various special venues in Germany and Switzerland.
Jess Glynne's voice is world famous—at least since the British singer, songwriter, and Grammy winner spent months at the top of the international charts together with Clean Bandit and the song "Rather Be." She followed up on this huge success with, among other songs, “My Love” by Route 94 and “These Days” with Macklemore. On her new album, the musician shows her most personal side to date. It goes without saying that only one name was possible for the record: “Jess.”
Ever since Moncrieff won the RTÉ Choice Music Prize for Irish Song of the Year, it's clear that the singer and songwriter knows how to create strong hooks and juxtapose calm verses with explosive choruses. As a teenager, Moncrieff fell in love with the classic soul and R&B of Otis Redding, Etta James, and Ray Charles, later developing his own personal sound based on this—thoughtful, optimistic, and authentic.
Tickets are € 63.
