Stimmen Festival — Kaleida / Ivo Dimchev

Wenkenpark
Friday, 12 July
19:00

The Stimmen (Voices) music festival has become the largest music event on the Upper Rhine, attracting an impressive array of international stars, soloists, and choirs, providing magical moments and musical experiences for young and old. From July 4 to August 4, the festival will pay homage to the power and beauty of the human voice at various special venues in Germany and Switzerland.
Kaleida is a British-German duo who creates sound worlds that are dark and mystical, but in which there is always a bit of hope shining through. Christina Wood and Cicely Goulder gained international fame when their songs appeared on the soundtracks of the cult films “John Wick” and “Atomic Blonde.” Their albums are accomplished works of electronic art, where transcendent spiritualism and minimalist production generate a raw, ethereal power.
Versatile, irreverent, and provocative, the queer Bulgarian musician, choreographer, performer and activist Ivo Dimchev explores the universe of sound. Musical research is now the core of his work, with lyrics that envelop the listener in dark poetry. The artist transforms his voice into an inexhaustible body of sound—sometimes bluesy, sometimes romantic, sometimes melancholic, sometimes techno, but always powerful. Dimchev will be presenting his music performance “Top Faves.” (age recommendation: 18+)
Tickets are € 34.
