The Stimmen (Voices) music festival has become the largest music event on the Upper Rhine, attracting an impressive array of international stars, soloists, and choirs, providing magical moments and musical experiences for young and old. From July 4 to August 4, the festival will pay homage to the power and beauty of the human voice at various special venues in Germany and Switzerland.
For the “Voices on Tour” series of the Stimmen Festival, the double concert with the Spanish duo Magalí Sare & Manel Fortià and the British singer Sobi will be presented in five magical concert evenings at different locations.
Magalí Sare & Manel Fortià love taking risks, pushing boundaries, and breaking genres. In a mix of voice and double bass that sounds like a whole orchestra, the duo brings a musical journey to the stage that starts with Latin American and Catalan songs and takes one unexpected twist after another.
Sobi is a London-raised emerging artist known for her poignant lyrics and infectious melodies. Her deeply personal debut album, “Beloved Child,” was largely written in the first months of her second son's life and is a testament to the importance of family and faith in Sobi's life. In her music she weaves folk, country and pop into an irresistible mix that makes the listener sad in the most beautiful way.
