Stimmen Festival — Natalia Doco / Ayom
The Stimmen (Voices) music festival has become the largest music event on the Upper Rhine, attracting an impressive array of international stars, soloists, and choirs, providing magical moments and musical experiences for young and old. From July 4 to August 4, the festival will pay homage to the power and beauty of the human voice at various special venues in Germany and Switzerland.
Born in Buenos Aires and raised in France, Natalia Doco fuses the music of both cultures—cobla and cumbia meet chanson and indie pop; in French and Spanish she fuses ancient rhythms and rituals of the Incas with catchy melodies and hypnotic arrangements. Carried by spiritual, traditional, and sometimes pop and reggae rhythms, she sings as a female force with many voices about topics such as feminism, migration, and environmental protection.
The band Ayom sounds exactly like that feeling you get when on a summer night the city is full of life after the heat of the day, the streets still give off warmth after sunset and invite you to stroll, you meet friends, and there is something going on everywhere. The musicians enrich their sound, which combines influences from Brazil, Angola, and Cape Verde, with the cosmopolitan energy of Lisbon and Barcelona. They bring the whole thing to the stage with irresistible swing.
Tickets are € 36.
