The Stimmen (Voices) music festival has become the largest music event on the Upper Rhine, attracting an impressive array of international stars, soloists, and choirs, providing magical moments and musical experiences for young and old. From July 4 to August 4, the festival will pay homage to the power and beauty of the human voice at various special venues in Germany and Switzerland.
Pippo Pollina cheers and argues, chats and reflects. The Italian singer-songwriter and his five-piece band, the Palermo Acoustic Quintet, pay homage to the beauty of sound and the power of art, be it with lyrical ballads, poetic protest songs, or rocking songs. As a composer, poet, thinker, musician, and arranger, Pollina is at home on stages all over Europe—and with more than 4,000 concerts played, that is anything but an empty phrase. His discography, which now includes more than 20 albums, is no less impressive. His songs always reflect the changing times and the changes in the world. He sings about life—sometimes sad, sometimes happy, sometimes fast, sometimes slow, sometimes bright, sometimes dark.
Swiss singer-songwriter Marius Bear, rides the wave of success with seemingly playful ease. He has already won the Swiss Music Award twice, been awarded a gold record, and represented his country at the Eurovision Song Contest. His songs are catchy, light, cheeky, but also subtle and profound.
Tickets are € 39.
