Stimmen Festival — TMBM & SCHWARZ
When a musician, for whom breaking out of the comfort zone is part of the proverbial good form, meets two pioneers on the classical guitar, excitement and variety of the highest quality are inevitable. Roland Meyer de Voltaire, aka SCHWARZ, and the guitar duo TMBM embark on a journey together, where they sometimes lead each other, sometimes let each other take their hands and advance into unknown realms. Electronic pop music by SCHWARZ, who understands the boundary between songwriter and producer as a fluid transition, meets the reference to tradition and the contemporary aesthetics of the two guitarists Willi Leinen and Stefan Degel. Although different in their styles, the artists are united by the desire to create something new and to push boundaries. For SCHWARZ, his time as a singer in the indie rock band Voltaire was followed by detours towards electro, film music, and hip-hop. Such musical excursions are also part of everyday life for TMBM through their arrangements of pieces by Martin Kohlstedt, Nils Frahm, Lambert, and Olafur Arnalds.
Tickets are €27.
