String Orchestra Concert — Multitude

The concert entitled "multitude" is dedicated to the diversity of individuals and musicians performing together on stage. In a musical arc, the development from the individual voice is traced to a collective sound. Works from different eras merge into a unified whole.
At the concert, the audience will experience the continual development of an ensemble, from a single musician in "solitude" to a large ensemble with a soloist and two string orchestras—the "multitude." This project brings together very different sound languages and eras, offering listeners a diverse program. The works are played directly one after the other and within one another, allowing the audience to completely lose themselves in the music and experience a sense of timelessness. The project musically reflects fundamental, omnipresent human concepts, such as loneliness and community, as well as the special work of arte frizzante. While only one person is responsible for the interpretation of the solo piece at the beginning, the ensemble then grows through a large chamber music group to a large ensemble, in which it becomes difficult to accommodate all individual interpretations. This is the tension in which arte frizzante always operates: on the one hand, they want to bring all their musical and dramatic ideas to life together as a collective, while on the other hand, they are aware that in reality, different forms of direction are sometimes necessary. For this concert, they are directed by the experienced chamber musician and inspiring soloist Jonian Ilias Kadesha (violin).
Free admission with a collection (suggested contribution CHF 30).
