This concert by the Swiss Chamber Soloists will focus on Swiss music, with rarely performed works by Klaus Huber, Frank Martin and Heinz Holliger.
Heinz Holliger is an oboist and a composer—from his early works for piano to his most recent works, such as the “Etudes” for solo harp, his compositional range spans; there will also be music by his companion Klaus Huber, who is represented in the program with his earlier works. This “rencontre” of Swiss music from the 1950s and 1960s must of course also include works by Frank Martin. The program features exciting, in part almost forgotten music from a time of new beginnings.
The performing musicians, the Swiss Chamber Soloists, are musicians from Switzerland or who teach and perform at universities in Switzerland, as well as the Swiss Chamber Academy, young students who will be given a platform to perform together with experienced musicians.
Tickets are CHF 35 for adults and CHF 10 for youths and students.
