Join Swiss Discovery Tours (a collaboration between You Belong in Basel (https://www.ybibasel.ch/) and Fresh Air Kids (https://www.freshairkids.com/) on a lovely stroll through cherry trees in the hopes that we are able to witness the blooms in all of their glory.
Join us on this gorgeous stroll through the cherry blossom trail in Frick. We cannot guarantee the blossoms will be in full bloom, but we certainly hope so. This easy walk from the Frick train station is the ideal way to welcome the spring. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the stunning views. We will be taking the 10:11 train from the Basel SBB to Frick Bahnhof (Platform 6). Please buy your train tickets ahead of time. If you would like to meet us at the Frick Bahnhof at 10:40, you can do so but you must let us know ahead of time so we know to look for you. We will aim to be on the 14:04 train from Frick Bahnhof (Platform 1) arriving at the Basel SBB at 14:41 (Platform 1); please note that this is an approximate return time.
The hike is approximately 6 km so be sure to have weather-appropriate clothes, good hiking boots, water bottle, and a picnic lunch. Bring money in the event there are goodies for sale along the trail. If you are unable to come for any reason, please have the courtesy to let the organizers know at 078-250-6353. Please also be on time; the train waits for no one. If you are late, the tour will have to start without you. We will notify you should the event be cancelled/postponed for any reason.
Note that this is not a child-friendly event. If you would like to bring your friendly dog, however, they are most welcome to join.
