Join Swiss Discovery Tours (a collaboration between You Belong in Basel (https://www.ybibasel.ch/) and Fresh Air Kids (https://www.freshairkids.com/) for a lovely hike in Baselland, from Grellingen to Zwingen via Chaltbrunnental. This hike is truly magical. This hike through a dense and mossy forest in the Chaltbrunnental, goes alongside a crystal-clear river, has numerous caves to explore, and even passes an important Swiss cultural monument. The starting point is easily accessible with a short train ride from Basel, and you will be eating lunch along the way, so please pack a picnic lunch and plenty of water. Be sure to wear comfortable hiking clothes and sturdy hiking boots
Note that this is not a child-friendly event. However, if you would like to bring your friendly dog, however, they are most welcome to join. Meeting place is at the Basel SBB under the timetable. The group will be taking the 11:06 train to Grellingen Bahnhof from Platform 9; please buy your train tickets ahead of time. The train waits for no one, please arrive on time—we will not be able to meet you later on the hike. The return will be from the Zwingen Bahnhof; we will take the 14:59 train to Basel SBB, arriving at 15:23.
