Symphony Concert — Orchestre Trinational du Haut-Rhin

Don Bosco Basel
Sunday, 28 May
17:00

The Orchestre trinational du Haut-Rhin was founded in the fall of 2022 by conductor Florian Engelhardt. It unites musicians from Germany, France, and Switzerland. Their concert programs also feature composers from these three countries. Each of their projects includes three concerts—one in each of the three countries. The three concerts of their first project will take place in May 2023 in Mulhouse (F), Müllheim (D), and Basel (CH), during which they will perform Symphony No. 2 "Roma" by Georges Bizet, the "Trittico" by Jean-Luc Darbellay, and Symphony No. 7 by Ludwig van Beethoven. The composition "Trittico" by the Bernese composer Jean-Luc Darbellay dates from 2014. They will realize the German, French, and Basel premieres of this work with Olivier Darbellay as horn soloist.
Entrance is free but there will be a collection.
