The latest addition to the Vitra Campus, the “Tane Garden House,” was designed by leading contemporary architect Tsuyoshi Tane. An exhibition in the Vitra Design Museum Gallery now documents Tane’s approach and presents his idea of an “archaeology of the future,” which takes the architect on journeys of discovery into a planned location’s site-specific memories. In his English-language talk at the Vitra Schaudepot, Tane explains how his garden house took shape, looking back on three years of research from the first models to the finished building.
