As part of a new series of talks, the Fondation Beyeler invites women curators, authors, artists, and scholars to speak about their experiences, their career paths, and their achievements in the art world. The talks are presented under the patronage of the Patronesses of the Fondation Beyeler, an international group of women who support and sponsor exhibitions and programs featuring women artists at the Fondation Beyeler.
To kick off the series, the Fondation Beyeler is delighted to welcome Frances Morris, Director of Tate Modern in London since 2016. Curator, writer, and broadcaster Morris joined Tate in 1987, becoming Head of Displays at Tate Modern in 2000 and Director of Collections, International Art, in 2006.
The talk will be held in English and will be moderated by Theodora Vischer, Chief Curator of the Fondation Beyeler.
Tickets are CHF 25 and include museum admission; the exhibitions "Georgia O'Keeffe" and "Passages—Landscape, Figure and Abstraction" can be visited before the talk.
