The Tension Festival with its thousands of visitors is the biggest electronic music festival in northwestern Switzerland. The event has been taking place in the unique ambience of the Gartenbad St. Jakob Basel since 2016. A constantly innovative line-up is offered on two stages paired with a large pool area, extensive bar, cocktail and food offerings (from delicious meat dishes to tempting vegetarian and vegan delicacies), chill-out zone, and market stalls. At night, the action traditionally moves to the city's top clubs, where the partying continues until late in the morning. This summer’s edition marks the first time the Tension Festival will take place over three days, rather than two. Also for the first time, there will be the opportunity to complete the festival experience with camping. The event starts at 13:00 (15:00 on first day) and runs until about 01:00, after which it moves inside and the party continues at the Viertel Klub and at the Nordstern. On the program this year are extremely attractive “backstage tickets” where guests have their own lounge area with a whirlpool, stage access to celebrate directly on the stage next to and behind the DJs, and unlimited and guaranteed access to all night locations; minimum age is 18.
Day Session tickets are CHF 74.90, Night Session tickets are CHF 29.00, and 3-day tickets are CHF 149.80. The day ticket does not include access to the night session, but you will receive a discount on the night ticket if you use the discount code found on your Day Session ticket. Backstage tickets are CHF 114.90.
