There is no doubt that seven-time Grammy winner Christian McBride is one of the most versatile musicians on the scene today. His artistic ability has been documented in recordings and performances with a wide variety of musicians in the most diverse settings and genres imaginable. He currently plays with Mood Swing, in a trio (Tribute to Ray Brown), with his big band, and with the quintet Inside Straights. Their first Mack Avenue recording was released last year. McBride, who is also the director of the Newport Festival, is constantly reinventing himself.
