Brookes’ comedy is a mix of weird contradictions and (not so) accidental profoundness. You might find yourself happy or sad, joyful or sorrowful, and Brookes will confront you with all this while distracting you from it at the same time. He has won both the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Comedy Show and the Chortle Comedian’s Comedian Award. As well as being a critically acclaimed comedian, he is an actor and writer, with numerous projects in development for TV and radio.
Last year, Vai had her debut run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival; shows in London at the Top Secret Comedy Club; and toured throughout London, Paris, and Barcelona in over 50 shows. She also won a year-long comedy mentorship for women of color from Sofia Chang's Unlock Her Potential and has been featured in the “New York Times.” Her very first television pilot was accepted into the 2nd round of the Austin Film Festival. She performs regularly various comedy venues in New York City.
Jay is a stand-up comedian and wandering vagabond philosopher who has toured all over Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and Europe, including a full run at the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival where he premiered his solo show “A Fun Guide to Nihilism.” Now a regular on the European circuit, performing at festivals and in cities across the continent, his unique brand of thought-provoking humour swings from silly to surreal, tickling your funny bones as well as fingering your brain.
